What is the Center for Learning and Inclusive Practices?
The Center for Learning and Inclusive Practices was founded in 2009 for the purpose of promoting the integration of technology as a tool to meet the instructional needs of special education students.
Are there any costs involved?
All of the web content, including audio and video books as well as web tutorials are free and can be downloaded for classroom or home use.
On-site face-to-face professional development programs and on-going web-based professional support are are available.
Saturday Academies are held throughout the state of New Jersey. Individuals may register for these workshops. Workshops are from 9AM - 3PM. The cost is $150 workshop. (5 PD hours credit)
Summer Institutes are held during the months of July and August. The five-day institutes are held on-site in your school district. The cost is $750 per participant. There is a minimum of 10 participants for on-site Summer Institutes. (25 PD hours credit)
Self-paced on-line courses are currently being developed and will be available in the Summer of 2010. The cost for each course will be $150. (15 PD hours credit)
Free webinars are also being planned.
How can I support CLIP?
There are many ways to support CLIP. We are currently seeking volunteers for the following:
-web development
-course developers
-grant writers
In addition, CLIP accepts donated new/used computer hardware and other technology products including MP3 players, netbooks, printers, etc.
